LifeChangers is a Dallas Baptist Association ministry that gives a chance for sold-out students in Dallas Baptist churches to serve sacrificially and stretch the boundaries of their love for God, His people and His city.
A team of seven missionaries (six students and one leader) will live, work, and serve alongside Dallas urban churches throughout the summer. They will be trained to lead evangelistic soccer camps, assist urban Dallas churches, and will also plug into ministries that serve the South Dallas community.
Students will live in Christian community at Cornerstone Care Center in the Fair Park community. They will serve Cornerstone as well as other urban churches, sometimes as a group and other times in teams of two. They’ll plug into not just the mission activities but the worship and fellowship of their host churches as well. The LifeChangers team will likely tutor, build, nurture, repair, encourage, assist, organize, teach, learn from, listen to, and pray with all kinds of people… all in the name of Jesus.
In addition, the students will participate in intensive peer discipleship/accountability, mission-specific Bible studies, and will be exposed to church and lay people who model innovative ways God uses lives totally yielded to Him.
Our prayer is that the impact made by this ministry would be one so powerful that the inner city churches, neighborhoods, and students will be forever changed.
